The return of Sergio Pena to Toyota Speedway @ Irwindale ended on a high note with a 3rd place finish in the 50 lap feature last Saturday night. Sergio qualified 7th but ended up starting 6th due to a pile-up in the trophy dash. It took Sergio a few laps to get settled in after falling off the pace with leaders Nick Joanides and Ryan Reed. Steadily moving his way up through the field, he was able to bring the # 03 Position One Motorsports, King Taco Restaurants/Eibach Springs Chevy Monte Carlo home in 3rd place. |
