For Luis Martinez Jr. his introduction into the world of NASCAR this summer has been a very exciting and often times trying experience. Through it all the youngster from Long Beach, California has continually met the challenges and continues to evolve.
Two weeks ago Mother Nature dealt Position One Motorsports driver Luis Martinez Jr (#03-KING TACO) a heartbreaking disappointment. Scheduled to start 2nd for the first time in his career Martinez saw the race slip away moments before the start when a thunderstorm and the ensuing rain forced a postponement.

Coming in to the twelfth race of the season, the Position One Motorsports crew along with driver Luis Martinez Jr (#03-KING TACO) were looking to score its best qualifying and finish effort to date. After finishing a disappointing fifteenth place at the last event Martinez was confident that this weekend was going to provide him the breaks he needed to show his talent.
After some unlucky breaks, the Position One Motorsports group returned to the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale looking to finally catch a couple of lucky breaks for Round #11 of the NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model series.
After a one month absence, Position One Motorsports returned to NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model series competition at the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale this past weekend. At the end of the evening the team accomplished one of it's goals: to improve its point standings and to continue its education in the fierce competition that is Super Late Model series racing.
