The 2008 IKF 2-Cycle Sprint Grand Nationals, held in beautiful Santa Maria, CA is in the books. At this year's event P1 Engines came home with more wins/podiums than any other engine shop with 6 Duffys, 4 Screaming Eagles, and over 22 top-5 finishes during the five day event. |

There is much activity occurring within the confines of the Position one Motorsports Baldwin Park, California headquarters. With a double header weekend fast approaching, the team’s NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model crew is working feverishly to prepare the cars, while the karting division continues its hectic pace planning for upcoming events, in two weeks driver Luis Martinez Jr makes his second appearances with the Golden Gate Racing Team at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale and now add testing Sergio Peña in a Speed Truck to the list.

Two weeks ago Mother Nature dealt Position One Motorsports driver Luis Martinez Jr (#03-KING TACO) a heartbreaking disappointment. Scheduled to start 2nd for the first time in his career Martinez saw the race slip away moments before the start when a thunderstorm and the ensuing rain forced a postponement. |

Coming in to the twelfth race of the season, the Position One Motorsports crew along with driver Luis Martinez Jr (#03-KING TACO) were looking to score its best qualifying and finish effort to date. After finishing a disappointing fifteenth place at the last event Martinez was confident that this weekend was going to provide him the breaks he needed to show his talent.
